The more we dive into the world of content creating, the more complicated packing becomes for us. There are so many things we travel with when we’re going on vacation, some of us more than others (La). But these are the 6 important things we never travel without.
Table of contents
1. Tripod
Ever wondered who was taking all of our pictures? Well you’re looking at him! We absolutely never travel without our Geekoto 77″ tripod from Amazon because it is a GAME CHANGER! It is durable, flexible, and allows you to capture a photo from every angle imaginable. It can even be transformed into a monopod and used as a hiking stick! The travel bag that it comes with makes it super convenient to take everywhere with you, which is why we can’t leave home without it. No more blurry pictures taken by a stranger. With this sturdy tripod, your photos are guaranteed to come out the way you envision them!
2. DSLR camera
When we first began traveling, we thought we took the most FIRE photos on our iPhones. But when we would return home from our trips and look at our photos, the pictures never seemed to do even the most beautiful locations justice. So we decided to invest in our first professional camera to increase the quality of our photos. It wasn’t until then that we really began to level up!
After a little research, we decided the Nikon D3500 was the best fit for what we were trying to accomplish. We think it’s a great DSLR camera for beginners because it’s not too complex to figure out. It has simple and easy-to-navigate program modes that basically do all of the hard work for you. Considering the plethora of amazing cameras out there, it’s also one of the more affordable ones. We still use our iPhones every now and then, but we absolutely can not go ANYWHERE without our Nikon D3500.
3. Drone
As we grew more in love with photography, we really wanted to find different ways to see the same thing. People climb mountain tops to see the world from a different perspective. Our drone allows us to capture the world from one of the most unique perspectives there is: a bird’s eye view.
We crashed a couple of cheap drones before we landed with the DJI Mavic Mini (no pun intended). At first we thought we just sucked at flying drones, but it turned out that we just needed something more sturdy, heavy duty, and easy to operate. The Mavic mini checks off all of those boxes, and is also compact & portable, making it perfect for travel.
4. Go Pro
There is no way we can go on an any vacation without our Go Pro Hero 7 black. Let’s be real here, there are some moments you just can’t capture with a regular camera or a drone. For those action-filled adventures, the Go Pro is the perfect substitute. Whether you are jumping out of a plane, diving off of a cliff, or swimming with whale sharks, the Go Pro Hero 7 black allows you to get smooth, clear footage of it all.
5. Ring light
Lighting is absolutely crucial when it comes to taking a good photo. Unfortunately, the lighting is not going to be perfect everywhere you go, especially when you’re taking photos indoors. That’s why we never travel without our ring light. It provides 3 different brightness levels with 30 dimmable options that ensures you always have the right temperature for your photos.
